When People Rediscover Their Own Voice
 

One of the most transformative experiences in my early educational journey emerged in São Paulo, Brazil, through my work with SESI in partnership with SEACOTURH.
SESI — Serviço Social da Indústria — is one of the most respected educational and social institutions in Brazil, created to support workers, families, and communities through education, professional development, health, culture, and social responsibility initiatives.

At a very young age, I was already standing in front of classrooms of adults, searching not only for professional qualifications but also for dignity, reintegration, and a second chance within society itself.
 

Well then, from my perspective, that experience shaped me far beyond technical instruction. I was not merely teaching employability skills. Intrinsically, I was witnessing how education can rebuild confidence, restore communication, awaken discipline, and reconnect individuals with their sense of value.

What made that experience even more meaningful was the public recognition the project received at the time, including coverage in local newspapers that highlighted the initiative's social and educational impact. Seeing that work acknowledged publicly reinforced my understanding that education has the power to transform not only individuals but entire communities when approached with empathy, structure, and purpose.
